  • Well hello, darling!

Photos by Annie Farber captures wedding, engagement, senior, family, maternity, newborn, baby and child photography.

Located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, I offer a modern, photojournalistic perspective in a variety of settings and situations. My photography career began in the marketing agencies of Des Moines, Iowa, and has followed me to eastern Iowa.

I adore my family and three children and document our lives through photography and video. They would say relentlessly so (see pic to the left for their retaliation). Life moves too quickly, and my memories will be captured for generations to come. My wish is that I may do the same for you... with style, grace and love.

    All my love capturing yours,

    Annie Farber

Dubuque, Iowa Wedding

Kristin and Gabe were married in Wisconsin at her Godfather’s victorian mansion with a memorable reception to follow at Diamond Joe’s in Dubuque, Iowa.

From start to finish, Kristin and Gabe’s wedding was perfection. Her classic beauty paired with his flare for style made this one of my favorite weddings to photograph… in spite of the fact that it was 106 degrees with the heat index, and I was quickly approaching my third trimester.

The L. Family

Miss Mavis was all smiles for her six month pictures at my home studio! My studio is located just outside of Marion and Cedar Rapids, in Anamosa, Iowa. This lovely space is my sanctuary in the winter months. I included a couple pictures of my office for good measure:).

‘Likes’ for Hunter

Hunter Erb, 16 months, was born early with multiple congenital heart defects, some of which had never before been seen or studied at The University of Iowa Hospital.

In his short life, Hunter has had three open heart surgeries, a pacemaker and a stent, but hasn’t lost one bit of his smile. During his 10 months (on and off) in the hospital, his mother Stephanie told me he was quite the charmer with the nurses. She added, “He will need more surgeries but hopefully, not until he’s bigger. Sadly, the U of I Hospital was our second home, but we had wonderful people who made it feel as close to home as possible.”

Hunter needs to stay away from children to avoid illnesses that could put his delicate system in distress, and his feeding tube (pictured) is a part of his daily life.

I wish Hunter and his family the best as they help him grow big, strong and healthy. To help raise funds for Hunter’s ongoing medical and developmental needs, Photos by Annie Farber will donate $1 for every NEW Facebook Fanpage ‘Like’. Please help me in celebrating this little man’s strength, courage and perseverance.

Baby G to Be

I had the pleasure to photographing Emily and Ryan in the East Village of downtown Des Moines. The natural light compliments her skin tone but her excitement about her little miracle baby is what makes these photographs shine. Emily is so warm and loving that any baby would be lucky to call her mom, something she’s waited her whole life to hear. Ryan, an intellectual at heart, has read every book and attended every class alongside his bride. Genevieve or Guinevere (name to be decided) will most certainly call daddy her first love.

Stay tuned for newborn pictures!
